The Art of Wool Spinning with Lisa Daschinger

Join the Bidwell House Museum for another presentation in their 2023 theme of historical textiles with local spinner Lisa Daschinger. During this hand spinning demonstration, Lisa will showcase the age-old art of transforming raw wool fibers into beautiful, functional yarn using a traditional spinning wheel. You’ll witness how the wheel works in harmony with the spinner’s skillful hands to draft, twist and wind the wool, creating a unique and mesmerizing experience that highlights the fascinating journey from fleece to finished product.

With over a decade of experience refining her craft, Berkshire Hills and Dales Spinning Guild Member Lisa Dachinger is a masterful hand spinner, transforming raw fibers into exquisitely textured and colorful yarns, cherished by fiber enthusiasts and textile connoisseurs alike.

This program will be held at the Bidwell House Museum and is limited to 15 people. Tickets are $10 for Members and $20 for Non-Members and pre-registration on the Museum website is required to attend.
