Tag, Rag, and Bobtail: Women of the Army, Friday Evening Preview Event

Emma Cross and Emily Doherty detail the experiences of women on both sides of the conflict, who followed the army while on campaign.

As the war for American Independence rages, two women risked everything in order to follow those fighting for the causes they believe in. These women attached themselves to the army out of a sense of duty and obligation. In doing so, they sacrifice peace of mind, safety, and their own hopes and dreams. Their often-forgotten efforts shaped the war though both daily actions as well as through extraordinary actions under unusual circumstances.

All of the dialogue in this performance is drawn from firsthand accounts and will draw you deeply into their stories. Emma and Emily are extraordinary and have performed this play at the Kennedy Center. The performance will be followed by a Q&A after the performance.

Wine and snacks will be served to all attendees. The performance will take place outside, under a tent.

Included in the ticket price for this program, is a 2-day pass to attend the reenactment on Saturday and Sunday.

After the performance, you are welcome to walk the grounds and see the camps before they open to the public on Saturday.
