Learn about prisons in colonial America

Join us on July 17th at 10 am for our fourth history talk of the season as Princeton History Professor Wendy Warren gives a talk titled Prisons in Colonial America. Warren will explain the long history of prisons in North America, and examine what has not changed between the earliest prisons and today.

Wendy Warren teaches in the History Department at Princeton University. She specializes in the history of Colonial North America. She has published on slavery, prisons, the Atlantic World, and other topics.

This talk will be held at the Bidwell House Museum for a limited in-person audience and also streamed via Zoom. Attendees must register in advance. Those attending via Zoom will receive the link to access the talk a few days in advance.
