Event Rentals
Host Your Event at the Bidwell House!
Located on 192 acres of verdant forests and gardens in Monterey, the Bidwell House Museum could be the perfect spot for your outdoor wedding or celebration. The Museum tells the story of life in the 18th century Berkshires and your guests will feel like they are driving back in time as they make their way down Art School Road, a dirt lane lined with trees. The property has large open fields and lush landscapes with room for a large tent and parking for 100 cars. In summer when the gardens are in their glory you will find a myriad of locations for memorable photos.
The fee for the site includes the use of the property from 5 pm onward, electricity, and parking for guests. You will also receive passes for guests interested in touring the house at a later date. Photography is allowed in the gardens as part of the fee. All other items must be rented. The Bidwell House Museum is happy to provide a list of local businesses that can supply tents, catering, etc. Photo shoots in the gardens in advance of the ceremony or reception can be arranged.
Event Spaces
Adonijah’s Terrace
Located next to the home, this raised, outdoor terrace is well suited for a unique ceremony space, cocktail reception, or an intimate al fresco dining experience. Not handicap accessible.
Theodosia’s Garden
A secluded garden surrounded by tree canopy and our perennial flower beds. This space makes for a lovely cocktail reception venue or ceremony location.
Township Common
Situated on the gracious lawns below the house, Township Common provides ample space for a tented event for up to 150 guests.
Packages
Intimate Gathering (1-20 guests)*
Whether it be a rehearsal dinner, intimate wedding meal, or birthday celebration, our grounds provide the perfect setting for a Berkshire garden party.
$1,000 for up to three hours, $1,500 for up to five hours
*Adonijah’s Terrace and/or Theodosia’s Garden only.
Wedding or Large Celebration (20-150 guests)
This option is for those guests celebrating a wedding or other large event (i.e. anniversary party, corporate dinner, welcome reception, etc.). Your time at the Bidwell House Museum includes private and exclusive access to the grounds after 5 PM, for up to six hours, and use of all three spaces described above.
