2024 Bidwell Country Fair
The Bidwell Country Fair returned on June 22, 2025. Despite a torrential downpour later in the afternoon, many people enjoyed this free community event.
There was so much to do on the grounds of the Museum, including:
-Musical performances by Moonshine Holler and Oakes and Smith
-The Butler’s Rangers reenactors sharing stories from the 18th century
-Craft demonstrations of Broom Making with Dennis Picard, Blacksmithing with Chris Templin, Wool Felting with Lou Meyerdieks, Lace Tatting with Jill Hawkins, and Basketweaving with Mary Ann Williams.
-Educational tables from the Monterey Historical Society and the Tyringham Historical Society
-Crafts and a scavenger hunt for the kids
-Food for sale from Flour Bin Catering and SoCo Ice Cream
This program was supported in part by grants from the New Marlborough and Tyringham Cultural Councils, local agencies which are supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
