Lynda Meyers of Lynda's Antique Clothing Loft, Adams MA.
The attire of three generations of Bidwells, a talk and real clothing exhibit.  A picnic lunch will follow.

June 20th, 10 am

Book talk, Yale Professor, John Demos, A preview of,
The Heathen School: A Story of Hope and Betrayal in the Early Republic. A picnic lunch will follow.
 

July 4th, 11 am

Exhibit opens: Early Farm and Garden Tools.
Presented by the Bidwell House Caretaker, Chris Caccamo.
 

July 18th, 10 am - noon

The Art of Remembering. Master stone carver, Karin Sprague, will demonstrate and lead a walk to the burial ground.
Jointly sponsored by Monterey Historical Society.A picnic lunch will follow.
 

August 22nd, 11 am

 

                     1 pm

Heirloom Garden Day with Ruth Green of Green Arts Garden Design. Harvesting and tasting the vegetables from the garden.
Picnic lunch will follow.
Make-your-own Herbal Wreath. A workshop with craft artist,

September 12th

Dr. Richard Greene will lead the annual Royal Hemlock Trail Walk. A 2-3 hour nature walk through the historic Bidwell forests.

September 19th, 10 am

Guided by Land Planner, Rob Hoogs,
A new trail walk featuring examples of multiple historic stone walls.

September 26th, 3 pm 

A talk with acclaimed author, George Minkoff,
On the 3rd book in the Trilogy on the Jamestown settlement,
Leaves of Fate. Wine & cheese reception will follow.
 

October 10th, 10 am – 2 pm 

Annual Pumpkin Fest & harvest of Heirloom Garden: pies, tasting, games & fun for children & families.

Book talk & signing, renowned Yale Professor, John Demos' latest 'The Enemy Within: 2000 Years of Witch-hunts in the Western World'

Monday, October 13th, 10 am

Columbus Day closing event and celebration of Massachusetts
Archeology Month. Local historian, George Emmons, will lead a walk to the site of the historic Meeting House, where Rev. Adonijah Bidwell preached, and to the famous Indian cairns. Refreshments will follow.

Open throughout the season

Two historic trails Stop in and get a map during museum hours.
Meeting House Trail 20 minutes; the site of the First Congregational Church
Royal Helmlock Trail two hours. Tradition tells us Henry Knox and troops followed a part of this trail with cannon on the way to Boston in 1776.
