Tan whole cloth quilt

Mass.Quilt Documentation #2066. Bidwell accession # 208007

This tan, whole cloth wool quilt is 86 3/4" x  99 1/4" with rounded bottom corners and has a golden tan wool backing made from six pieces. The initials "D B" are cross-stitched on the back corner.

Hand quilted, at about 6 stitches to the inch, is a stylized floral spray in the center, surrounded by an interior border of steeply undulating feathers with floral sprays in the corners. The outer border is  quilted with scalloped semicircles filled with diamond trellis. In good condition, but with some fading, it shows a few scattered holes.
